Jamie Fallon of Craughwell AC was the clear winner of the senior men’s 6k at Castlegar AC's open cross country races on Saturday.

Current All-Ireland club hurling and Galway county champions Portumna proved too good for Craughwell on Sunday in Kenny Park, qualifying for yet another county final with a three point victory (1-15 to 0-15).

This weekend the Galway hurlers put away their club colours after a hectic few weeks of domestic action, and don the maroon and white again when they take their 2014 championship bow on Sunday against Laois in the Leinster quarter-final at Portlaoise (4pm).
